I’m starting to shop around a new title called The Lost Construct. It’s a novel set in a new science fiction universe called The Spiral Frontier. I’m looking for agents and I’m hoping to have some exciting news to share soon!

The Lost Construct is a science fiction novel blending space opera and hard sci-fi elements, complete at 119,000 words. It follows the story of a hunted starship captain, her rag-tag crew, and the last known AI construct in a universe devoid of digital technology. It should appeal to readers who enjoyed Old Man’s War, Leviathan Wakes and All Systems Red.

Separated from her parents as a child at a planetary border crossing, Commander Sierra D’Arjet has always struggled to trust those around her. After mutiny and betrayal, she now must put her faith in Jackal, an ancient AI construct struggling to maintain control after centuries in stasis. Together, they recruit a brilliant but foulmouthed feline engineer and an heiress to the system’s largest shipping fortune as they make a dangerous run for freedom. Pursued by corrupt Republic officials, a construct-hunter from the core worlds, and a hostile AI assault carrier, their escape proves ultimately impossible. As all seems lost, a cruiser led by a mysterious captain gives Sierra hope she didn't know she was looking for.
